Ruining Deng

Dr. Deng is an AI Instructor at Weill Cornell Medicine, under the primary supervision of Dr. Mert Sabuncu. He received his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Computer Science at Vanderbilt University, advised by Dr. Yuankai Huo. He conducts research in biomedical data analysis, particularly in digital pathology and gene expression data. His efforts are centered on infusing clinical knowledge from the medical field into the design of deep learning models to assist in clinical research. Dr. Deng’s research principles include building AI computer vision tools with cross-modal knowledge, advancing clinical research with AI-powered tools, democratizing pathology research, and incorporating foundation models to create a panoramic pathology atlas.

Daniel Guo

My name is Daniel (Zhenhao) Guo, an undergraduate student at New York University majoring in Computer Science. My research focuses on AI for Healthcare, with particular interest in developing vision–language models and data-centric approaches for the healthcare domain.

Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active through fitness and cooking healthy meals. During the winter, I like going on road trips with friends to go skiing.

Leiyue Zhao

I am currently an undergraduate student at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), working under the guidance of Prof. Xiaoying Tang. My research focuses on Deep Learning, Medical Image Segmentation and Classification.

Outside of research, I am passionate about painting and photography, and I find inspiration in different forms of artistic expression.
